Over four years teaching experience, I think the key thing to teach effectively is to cater the teaching methods to students desire. As long as the students become interested to Chinese language, they can have the motivation to learn. I have been both the teacher and the tutor for years to both the adults and children learner from different levels. Now I am a teacher in a Chinese language school. 1. I like to teach in person, and set up the regular teaching time. I'd like to discuss the teaching mode with the students. What they need, and what is the final aim after the course? If they are preparing for an examination, I prefer to spend more time on the textbook and some practice. If they just want to improve Chinese for daily use or work, I think chat or scenario simulation is an effective way.
2. I'd like to be paid by hours, or the payment depends on how much progress the students attain.
3. Besides, teaching language, I have been a biology teacher for years, and I can also teach Chinese calligraphy. In addition, I am a practical demonstrator in our department now. Through the training for demonstrator, I learned a lot how to be a good teacher.
