Program Description

READING & PRONUNCIATION INTRO COURSE
During these 10 introductory lessons you will learn the Russian alphabet and reading rules, including some specific tips for reading the sounds in particular positions in words. The course will also let you pick up a bit of essential vocabulary and survival phrases. You will get introduced to the standard Russian keyboard with the help of a virtual on-screen tool. After completing the course you will be able to read accent marked Russian text with confidence you are not making common mistakes that make your speech unintelligibl e to a native Russian speaker. As part of the course I will provide learning material in Microsoft Word format along with audio files and interactive flashcards. We will also use some free web resources in our lessons that you will find useful in your future studies.

G ENERAL RUSSIAN COURSE
Gramm ar, conversation, reading and writing lessons are available for students of all levels. Lessons are based on the textbooks created by experienced professors of the leading Russia’s language teaching centers, such as Moscow State University and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. I am also happy to offer custom-tailor ed lessons based on a book of your choice to students interested in Russian literature.

VIRTUAL LANGUAGE IMMERSION COURSE
You can read some in Russian, know a few survival phrases and are familiar with the very basic grammar? Ready to challenge yourself with language immersion? Meet your native speaking Russian teacher in a virtual 3D world and practice your Russian while exploring beautiful wildlife and cityscapes! You will learn new vocabulary and grammar in a natural way and reinforce it working with sound flashcards at home after your lessons. You will also improve your pronunciation , listening and speaking skills.
If you are a beginner, these 30 minute practice sessions can be a supplement to your regular Russian course or your starting point in learning conversationa l Russian.
More advanced learners can use this type of lessons to build up their vocabulary and master their language fluency.
Req uirements:
This course is designed for English speakers or anyone who speaks enough English to understand necessary explanations during the lessons. You will need high-speed Internet, a headset and a good graphics card.
