Since I was a little kid, I have developed a fondness for the English language; and this is exactly what I would like to share with students. As an ESL teacher, I promote constant interaction and authentic language understanding and production in class. Bearing in mind, also, that English is always present in the media, I am willing to help students be aware of how much they can use media to supplement their English learning process.

Program Description

On a regular basis, my lessons include three stages. First, engagement. It is necessary to have students engaged in the lesson with an appealing warm up. Second, study. I have students face understandabl e input through listening or reading. Students can identify grammar and vocabulary from these to areas of the language. Finally, production. students are able to produce language either by speaking or writing based on what they learned from the engagement and study stages.

Teaching Experience

For over eighteen years, I have been teaching English part- and full-time at private English schools located in both Bogota, Colombia, and South Beach, Florida. Indeed, I have enjoyed these positions; as I have been able to help students learn such an important language. Furthermore, over the last five months, I have been able to adapt to online teaching due to the current situation with Covid-19. It takes a lot of dedication and patience with both kinds of teaching, but the result is what counts.
