Teaching Approach

I believe that in a language class all students need to feel that they can ask questions and be curious about material without fear of embarassment or dismissal. I try to encourage a kind of atmosphere where students feel free to ask questions and express what they have gained during the lessons. A good example for this would be my adopting an inductive teaching method for grammar subjects as my preferred way of enabling the student interaction in the classroom.

Regarding other aspects of my approach to students, I believe in maintaining and garnering their respect by treating them with respect, and having high expectations regarding their behavior and performance.

I try to stimulate students’ interest by showing my own enthusiasm for the subject. A good example for this would be my working experience as lecturer of Italian language at a university. Also Erasmus students each and every one of whom only after our two month long intensive course starting from beginner’s level, successfully followed and passed each one of their university courses held in Italy during their Erasmus studies carried out in Italy. As a lecturer of Italian language, having heard back from them expressing their gratitude, is for me a satisfaction beyond words.

Program Description

I seek to engage students by examining ways they can explore new and interactive ways of learning Italian languge. I look forward to individual conferences with students, ascertaining their aims for learning Italian and assisting in the composition of their language learning experiences. I believe these skills provide me with a broad perspective of proven written expression as well as innovation, enhancing my methodology and passion for student engagement.
