Teaching Approach

I strive to positively engage my learners by understanding what interests they have and having a clue circumstances they face everyday and tailoring my lessons to capture those interests thus enhancing and enriching their learning experience. This is all done with focus on both Igbo language and culture.

Program Description

My learners are sure to be taken from zero to near mastery depending on ability, interest and learning pace.

I start with simple basics and slowly advance to word formation, parts of speech, verb conjugation and actual sentence stringing. I strive to do this in an interesting and fun way so that my learners will find themselves understanding and speaking the language without actually realising that they are doing it at first.

Teaching Experience

My children have lived in the United Kingdom all their young lives and though they have mostly European people and friends around them, I have tailored an Igbo learning programme for them that has yielded the effective results that they not only understand the Igbo language and cultur but they can read and write Igbo!
