What are the most important aspects to pay attention to, when learning German?
From our/my experience the most important thing is practising with native conversation partners without any accent. It is far more difficult to learn the correct pronunciation if your partner does not pronunciate properly himself. Besides natives can also teach cultural behaviour. Your teachers should be experienced in teaching German to learn the language in the most effective way and keep you highly motivated even if grammar gets complicated. Be sure to just learn in small groups to practise talking as much as possible.
