I find it very rewarding to help people of all ages achieve their goals, but also to allow them to enjoy the very process of learning the language. Enjoyment is surely one of the key elements of success and focus, and so I think a fun and interesting approach to learning is vital, in any field.
Having been a learner enables me to better relate to my students, anticipate and understand problems they might have, tailor lessons to their needs. My every lesson is student-centr ed with the main emphasis on creating atmosphere and providing tasks which encourage and improve students' interaction and communication in English. I apply different teaching methods as there are different types of learners, but no matter what they are my students always enjoy my lessons.

I am a citizen of New Zealand and currently reside in Japan on a Spouse visa. Originally from Ukraine, in 1999 I immigrated to New Zealand where I had studied and worked until I arrived in Naha, Okinawa in February 2018. I have been fortunate to have experienced many excellent teachers throughout my life, and this has instilled in me a love of teaching. I had taught English one-to-one privately before successfully completing Cambridge CELTA course in 2013. That enabled me to teach English to speakers of other languages officially anywhere in the world. My teaching experience of 7 years includes conducting lessons in one-to-one and group school formats as well as speaking / conversation clubs where students have much more freedom to practice their speaking skills expressing their opinion on a wide range of topics.
