I use a range of audio/visual and interactive materials when teaching my students (when appropriate) and prefer using the communicative method of language instruction, where practical application of the language is more important than theoretical and bookish knowledge. For my younger students, I use a range of games (charades and role-play), flash cards and songs/poems. I have taught children of diverse nationalities , including Czech, Indian, English and French.

Program Description

My Russian language courses follow a communicative approach to language teaching. Our lessons focus on language that is required for communicating in authentic situations with an emphasis on speaking and listening. You will learn via role-playing, grammar activities and discussion sessions. We focus on practising everyday phrases. I promise to explain Russian grammar in an easy to understand way. We touch on Russian culture too, so that you know how to make Russian friends and avoid making faux pas.
My program for Intermediate and Upper-Interme diate students includes reading and speaking practice, focusing on newspaper and magazine articles, books and films; I also focus on the more complicated aspects of Russian grammar and specialise in preparing students for the TRKI exam (all levels).
I can prepare a customised program for each student/group . It can focus on General Russian, Conversationa l Russian, or Business Russian, anything the students might need to live/work in Russia. I provide individual and group lessons, including lessons via Skype
