I believe my method to be superior to the one taught by native Mandarin speakers because unlike them, I know what it's like to learn Mandarin as a foreign language. So, I will know where you will struggle and what methods may help you overcome those difficulties. Also, unlike most teachers (I have had 5 different native Chinese teachers), I will teach you how to understand Chinese writing in a fun and logic way that certainly triumphs over simply trying to remember pictograms. I will teach you the secret of Chinese radicals and why they are so important!

Hello! My name is Nuno Lopes! I am a native Portuguese/En glish speaker, studying advanced Mandarin at the Confucius Institute. Since I started tutoring and teaching Chinese mandarin, 2 years ago, I believe I have found my true passion.
Mos t of my students are enrolled in Mandarin college classes and they have all stated that my methods are great and they wished their teachers taught them like I do.
I can guarantee efficient, fun and intuitive learning and cultural immersion, with frequent online sessions. I have plenty of learning materials and can adapt classes for special needs (Business Chinese, for example).
I look forward to guiding you on the adventure that is learning the Chinese language!

I have over 2 years experience as a private Mandarin tutor and teacher for college students. Whether teaching radicals, the writing system, phonetic rules or training conversation, I am super passionate about teaching the language. I helped plenty of them truly learn Chinese and pride myself of being one of the best Mandarin teachers in Portugal.

I normally take payments via Paypal, but wire transfer would be fine as well.
I am pretty flexible with my teaching methods and will go all the way to ensure that my students get the best of their lessons. I am very familiar with most of the problems foreign Chinese learners face along their journey.
