Teaching Approach

For lower levels I use storytelling, reading and other methods to ensure comprehensibl e input based on Krashen's comprehensibl e input theory. For higher levels, I need a clear indication of your ability and required objectives before we decide on what approach to follow.

Program Description

I can teach English (including exam preparation such as IELTS or CAE) and Afrikaans up to advanced level. Mandarin Chinese just up to beginning and low-intermedi ate level. For lower levels, I use storytelling and reading with loads of meaningful repetitions to help you develop proper fluency when speaking and/or writing. For higher levels, you need to tell me what you want to do and I will let you know if I can do that.

For more advanced or specific requests, for example "Help with IELTS Writing Academic Part 1" send me a detailed message and we can discuss how to proceed and negotiate payment.
My schedule changes, so it isn't possible to post specific times that I am available, but if you book a set time with me, I will be available for that time for as long as we have lessons.
