Teaching Approach
I am a native English speaker from the U.S., and I have served as a TOEFL intern, assistant English educator for migrant workers, conversation partner for international students, cross-cultura l event programmer at my U.S. university, and President of an International -American student organization. My teaching methods come from my experience in working with students of all ages, backgrounds, and native languages. Helping students accomplish their English language goals and finding techniques that best suit them is what I truly enjoy. If you want challenging and flexible lessons based on your diverse needs for learning English, my lessons will be a good match for you.

Program Description
I will develop topics and material based on your exact interest in studying English language, your knowledge, your areas of strength, and your goals. I prefer not to share my exact methods here, but I can tell you that I focus on these core areas:
1. Practicality- I want you to be able to walk away from the lesson and use what you have just learned in everyday life.
2. Independence- We will work on models in class, but there will be plenty of opportunities for you to practice our techniques on your own time. I leave the amount of homework you would like to complete up to your discretion, because if you truly want to learn English, you will need to immerse yourself in exercises and material.
3. Comprehensive Understanding - My belief is that if I haven't taught you the material well enough so that you could teach it to someone else, I haven't done my job. I am thorough in my explanations of grammar, and I provide as many examples as possible to help you become accustomed to new concepts and words.
Ove rall, I recommend my tutoring sessions as a supplement to a basic course that you are already taking or to a comprehensive book. I am not a grammar teacher, but I am an excellent resource for clarifying grammatical points and finding effective ways to improve upon your basic understanding of English.
