Program Description

Ni Hao Maastricht—He llo Mandarin is a Chinese learning club in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The main goal of this club is to make your Chinese learning experience easy and fun.
In this program, I will be leading a program of a series of lessons in different levels. And in each lesson, you will gradually develop the four basic skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in Chinese through a great deal of practice and exercise while also master the necessary grammatical knowledge and rules for word and sentence formation. At the same time, I will be sharing various aspects of Chinese society, cultural difference between the Chinese speaking countries and the West, and introducing the highlights of traditional and contemporary Chinese culture with you.

I have taught English in Taiwan and Shanghai for 8 years before moving to the Netherlands. Below see the details of my teaching experience:
-Taiwan secondary school English curriculum specialty: teaching English
as a foreigh language to G7, 8, and 9, levels beginner to high
intermediate, in secondary school settings
- Taught English as a second language to G3, 4, 7, 8, and 9, levels
beginner to very advanced, in reading and small group conversation
focused sessions in ESL settings.
-Taught Chinese as a foreign language to foreign expats living and
working in Taipei, Taiwan
-Ta ught One-on-one English tutoring lessons to Taiwanese students and
Chinese tutoring lessons to foreign expats living or working in Taipei,

Q: What is my teaching schedule?
A: In general I have a very flexible schedule and am available in the mornings and afternoons, days and time may vary. Evenings can be possible, too. If we've settled a specific time and day during the week, the scheduled time will be fixed to yours.
Q: What is the payment policy?
A: Payment has to be paid in advance with a simple bank transfer or by cash when you attend the first lesson of the course. Cancellation will be accepted 24 hours before the appointed time. If you want to cancel a lesson, you should inform me 24 hours in advance, otherwise the money would not be refundable. If there is a good reason (for example illness) you can follow the next course.
Q: How many hours should I take per lesson?
A: It depends on you. I would suggest people without any basic in Mandarin take 1.5 hours each time, twice a week.

Cost of Lessons
|
|
|
The cost of the lessons may vary according to private (1 on 1 tutoring) or group lessons. 10 euros per hour in group lessons (minimum:a group of 4) and 35 euros per hour if it is a private lesson.
