Chuikan's chinese class is full of tools from Media. Chinese films, newspaper and role-play activities are the highlights of the lessons.
S tudents who prefer an active class would be perfect to attend her class.
For beginners, she use "bit by bit" method. Students will learn Mandarin from scratch.
Please note that she usually start out by teaching in English so that the student can understand basic grammar and Chinese characters, building a sound foundation for further study.
Recommend ation on learning both Chinese characters and Pinyin (pronunciatio n). Anyhow it depends on the students whether they want to learn to read chinese characters.
With intermediate, communicative competence is the teaching and learning focus. Therefore, we'll have conversations in class about topics such as Chinese idioms and culture.

Chuikan is experienced in teaching beginners to pick up chinese through creative method. She mainly focus on Speaking, Listening and Chinese cultural manners.
G enerally, her classes are quite flexible and largely depend on the learner's needs. She can use textbooks, if necessary. But usually she designs her own syllabus according to the student's needs.

Chuikan had 3-year experience on tutoring english and chinese for Primary school students in Hong Kong. Currently she is writing screenplay for personal film projects, she masters written chinese and cultures.

Ch uikan is available for class on Monday to Saturday, 12pm-10pm. Classes are conducted at her studio in Pantanassis street, Patras.
