Teaching Approach

My teaching approach is suited towards the students' goals and motivation. If a student wants to prepare quickly for an English test then I will help them with that goal. If they want a conversation partner so they can maintain conversationa l English skills then I will help them with that goal. I ask many questions so that I can learn about the students' language goals and desire.

Having fun is very important. Students want and need an interesting teacher. I have traveled to many countries so I can add more flavor to each lesson for the students benefit.

Program Description

You want to learn English. Great! But you also want to have fun while learning. My lessons are informative and fun! I have many helpful tips I have created that will help you gain confidence and reach your English language goals. I have over 8 years teaching experience teaching children and adults in Japan and America. I have taught at both small private schools and universities in America and Japan.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have free time during most mornings of the week. A couple of nights a week I have free time as well.
Please send me an email to ask about my new schedule.
I ask the student to pay after each lesson for the first 2 lessons. Then, I ask the student to pay for lessons by the month. For example, I ask for a payment of ¥9,600 yen (US $100.) for 4 private lessons in one month at the beginning of the month.

If a student has to cancel a lesson less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson then I keep half of the 50 minute lesson fee. If they cancel/resche dule the lesson more than 24 hours before the lesson then their is no charge.

Cost of Lessons

A 50 minute lesson is ¥2,400 plus the cost of one drink for the teacher and one drink for the student at a local cafe. So, the average cost to the student is ¥3,000 per lesson per private lesson.
I do offer in home lessons for ¥4,000 per 50 minute lesson.
Also, I offer Skype lessons for ¥2,400 for 50 minute lessons.
