My approach to Italian classes is very informal. I like to take lessons as friendly conversations , because students are more relaxed and actually absorb and learn more.
At any time, I can focus on a specific grammar issue, but I don't want grammar to be the fil rouge, because I wouldn't offer anything more than a grammar book. What I give more, instead, is feedback, interest, interaction.

Program Description

My lessons start from the student daily life, so that what he learns at the beginning can be used right from the start and give them satisfaction.
Depending on the level, I read newspaper articles with my students or let them do so individually and ask them questions about the content or any doubt they had. From articles I usually teach grammar, because it's easier to explain rules with a previous example of a given rule "in action".
I teach informal and familiar language especially to those who live in Italy or are planning to go there, because the way Italians actually speak in their daily lives can differ from what is written in books.
I like to talk about Italian culture and lifestyle as well as economic subjects and politics.

Teaching Experience

I have been teaching languages since I started university.
Firstly I gave private English lessons.
S ince summer 2011 I taught Italian, instead. I worked for Maremoto language school in Udine (Northern Italy) and gave classes to Austrian students aged 10 to 19. It was a very rewarding experience so I decided I would keep on teaching my first language.
Since May 2013 I teach online also. I currently have 26 students that I follow on Skype. I remember all about them, I am interested in my students as persons, before considering them my students and my job.

I'm currently based in Berlin, where I am attending a Master of Arts in Intercultural Conflict Management.
My Bachelor degree was in International Relations and Diplomacy.
My high school was focus on Classics and Italian Literature and Language.
I became a professional teacher while working for Maremoto and kept on practising my profession on Italki.com
