I can plan very structured lessons with an introduction and a core composed of speaking, reading, writing (grammar) and listening According to the level and the age of the learner the teaching approach is very different.
H aving worked with a wide range of pupils (5 years old up to 18 and adults) I know how to be flexible and adapt to y pupils.
From nursery rhymes, stories, drawings, games, nature walks, cooking with young children
to work base on/around books, newspaper's articles and news, movies or traditional French exercises books.
Adult: cooking lessons, traveling in France for business purposes or holidays... Business, holidays etc...

Program Description

I have worked for a reknown local preparatory school for the last 2 years.
I taught year 1 up to year 8 and used to teach GGCE and A- level students as I trained in secondary.
I have written my own scheme of work and adapted my teaching style to the age rangeand ability of student(s).
During my Baccalauréat year (1997) I tutored business students from different countries, finding books suited to each of their levels and needs, helping them to make progress whilst providing them with exercises tailored to address their weaknesses.
In 1998, after a year at Nice University studying English literature and civilisation, I spent the summer as an au pair in Suffolk, where I looked after three little girls aged from two to six years old and practised some early French teaching with them, using nursery rhymes, stories, drawings, games, nature walks and cooking. This summer experience taught me how to plan a daily routine from 7.30 in the morning until bedtime with the occasional requirement of planning a whole weekend’s worth of activities. I organised the day so the children had a balance of game, quiet time, rest and educational activities. At the same time I began organising and holding French lessons for my new English friends and a number of German au pairs.
I moved to England in June 2007 and from that then on I have been using my language skills for many purposes including tutoring friends and helping them refresh their French language skills. I set up a number of teaching groups giving lessons to people with second homes in France to help them travel and deal with everyday life on the continent, booking a restaurant or a night out and practical aspects such as paying a phone or an electricity bill, ordering goods in local shops etc.
Organisin g motor races in England and France since 2008 had me liaising with drivers from both countries, phoning, mailing, managing, advertising, speaking and writing in both languages including translating press releases and brochures from English into French.
I am hoping that the fact that I am French and thanks to my previous experience in life I will be able to bring a wide understanding of the world and a taste of French culture wrapped in creativity!

I am thirty six years old, graphic designer graduate, French, married to an Englishman. I have been a graphic designer for seven years.
I am now a fully qualified teacher, I have a PGCE in modern languages and have worked for a reknown local preparatory school for the last 2 years.
I taught year 1 up to year 8 and used to teach GGCE and A- level students as I trained in secondary.
I have also tutored 11+, CE (prep school), GCSE and A-level students as well as adults for leisure or business purposes.
I love people and I know how to be encouraging, patient, caring and tough if needs to be. I have got flair and can empathise with people’s needs. I would be able to feel whether a student needs to be supported or would benefit from me stepping back; observation is something important to recognise and understand needs. All of these qualities make me a good leader and communicator.
I am also very organised; my work with children whilst a teacher demanded the highest level of organisation. I can structure projects well; planning day to day activities and routines was part of my work with the children, as well an indispensable task as a motor sport organizer. This skill will help in planning and delivering lessons effectively.
I am tenacious, creative and have a good sense of humour. I know that teaching is a demanding job but I also know that there is always a way around problems. Nothing is more fulfilling than having the chance to transfer knowledge, to give back to the community; a constantly stimulating environment is something I really enjoy. Working with learners is full of positive aspects and is an everyday challenge I look forward to.
