I lived in Montreal Canada for 5 years, I had a long term language exchange partner for 2 years, the result was his Chinese is better than my english, which i can assume that I taughter better than he did, can't I?
After my language exchange partner left for China, I started teaching Mandarin to make a little money to purchase for groceries. I had 4 longterm students who studied with me for 2-3 years until I left Canada, we had a very good. and they still speak Chinese, and they are getting better and better with the skills I taught. they could check dictionaries, they can prononce clearly, also they can write. Michel teaches his son mandarin!
They are an important part in my memory.
