Program Description

The first step is to evaluate the student's level of Spanish in order to taylor the program to his/her needs and goals. Lessons are then designed to target student's learning style and level.
Lesso ns will always have a mix of reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation . During class, student will practice through living and/or pretend situations that will help him/her develop and challenge his/her knowledge and maintain motivation.
Homework assignments will reinforce what was learned in class focusing on student's weaknesses.

Teaching Experience

I have over 20 years of teaching experience in classrooms as well as individual and small groups for children and adults. Spanish is my native language, as I was born in Colombia, but have lived and taught in the USA for the past 14 years.
I also work as Freelance English / Spanish interpreter for different government agencies.

Teacher Training

Educated in Bilingual school (English/Span ish) since First grade.
Train ed as teacher for English as a Second language at the Colombo-Ameri can Institute - Bogota, Colombia
Tra ined as interpreter for Health Education and Human Services - Cross Cultural Communication s - Maryland, USA

Teaching Schedule: Mutually agreed anytime Monday through Friday
Where : At a convenient place for both parties or on-line via video-confere nce i.e. Skype
Cancel lation Policy: You must cancel 24 hours before the class time or you will be responsible for the class fee.
