Pratice is the key to success.Altho ugh every language is unique, different languages have something in common. I use comparing method (compare mandarin with the student's native language,for example, English, find the similarities and differences,e tc) to let the students to learn a foriengn language using the knowledge of their first language).
T he purpose to learn a language is to use the language.I design my lessons, exercises and homeworks based on real life.I encourage the students to use Mandarin whenever they can and get back to me when they need help.
Studen ts want to have fun to learn Mandarin,I try to make my teaching interesting by using games, pictures, etc.

Program Description

The learner's opinion is very important to me. I always adjust my teaching and design my lessons according to the learner's unique need. I write lessons myself and also use text books to fit the purpose and goals of the learners. Generally saying, for the beginner level learners, I teach the pronunciation first, and then focus on spoken Mandarin of every day use. After a while, I change to focus on the learner's interest. I like role play, so the learner have a lot of practice with me. For Intermediate level student, I do a small test first, and I am focusing on using the language correctly. For the advanced level students, I focus on to improve the learner's reading, listening and writing ability. For teaching Chinese grammar, I like to use sentences patterns to teach the structure of the language.

I have been a freelancer Chinese Mandarin tutor for the past three years. I gathered a lot of materials. I use different books and materials to fit my student's interest and special requirement. I wrote my own lessons too. I have been tutoring the students of different ages and different levels. I have more experience of teaching adult learners.

What is my teaching schedule?
I have a very flexible schedule. I am available at any time between 9:30-11:30 am in the morning, 1:30-4:30pm in the afternoon, 6:00pm-9:00pm in the evening.
What is my payment policy?
Paym ent should be received before the class started. I accept money order, bank drafts, and online payments(Payp al). Payment can be refund if the students cannot take the course.
Why you should learn from me?
I myself had the experience to learn second and third languages. I worked different jobs before I started tutoring Chinese. I have research background and training experiences.

Cost of Lessons

20-30 dollars per hour live tutoring in person. Online tutoring is 15-20 dollars per hour. Email courses starts at 3 dollars per course.
