Teaching Approach

I think that the best way to learn a language is to have fun doing it. It is also important that the lessons are designed for the individual student's needs and personality.

Program Description

I have been teaching English for nearly two years. I love teaching, both adults and children. I am experienced in guiding students through both IETLS and TOEFL and I'm looking for private students but I am very happy to exchange English conversation classes for beginner Turkish lessons. I am also happy to travel within Istanbul or for the lessons to take place in my flat or in a cafe.

Teaching Experience

I taught at a language school in Prague in the Czech Republic from September 2009 to June 2010. This was a great experience teaching both adults and children.
I then taught at a Summer School in the UK before moving to Istanbul in October 2011 to teach at a language school here, teaching mostly children.
Whilst at university I also volunteered to work in a local school for two hours a week.

Teacher Training

I have a First Class Honours BA degree in History from the London School of Economics (LSE). I graduated in June 2009.
I also hold a Trinity CertTESOL, gained at St. Giles London Central in June 2010.

Cost of Lessons

Prices are negotiable but start at 40 lira an hour for conversation classes. As I say, I'm very happy to exchange English lessons for Turkish lessons
