One-on-one or small group approaches to language learning is best for the acquisition of tonal languages like this where the student can get a real feel for where they are at and where they need to head in regards to mastering Thai. Each student approaches language learning with their own acquisition styles, some are auditory, others visual. These are utilized in the process of study so that the individual moves towards their goals as quickly as possible.

Program Description

Thai classes are offered according to the needs of students who contact me, as to whether they are intending on studying only a few lessons or up to a year. They are able to set the goals of their own language acquisition: speaking, listening and understanding , reading and/or writing the language. This program is fluid in that it offers a personalized fit for each student's intention for acquiring the language: mastering their home language, communicating hospitably with Thai temple friends or relatives, being able to travel comfortably in Thailand or just for the fun of knowing this beautiful language.

Having been born and brought up in Thailand, I have the unique position of being an English-speak ing North American with an inside understanding of the Thai language and culture. With 22 years of living, working and traveling in Thailand, I offer lessons in Thai language acquisition geared towards a variety of individuals, understanding how unique goals may be for each.

What days are available?
Saturdays and Sundays are available beginning from January 30, 2011.
What times are available?
Lessons may be scheduled to suite students beginning from 4.30am and going up until 11pm.
Do you teach students of any age?
Stude nts from the age of 6 on up to over the age of 80 may contact me for lessons.
Students under the age of 12 must have adult supervision during each lesson.
Ho w is payment made?
Paym ent must be made prior to individual lessons, or prior to package deals (either the 8 or 24 lesson packages).
Payment may either be made in cash or by check. The later form of payment will require photo identificatio n.

Cost of Lessons

Lessons are charged by the half hour, at $10US (1 hour at $20).
Deal : 8 one-hour lessons at $160, paid upfront, offered with a $10 discount.
Deal: 24 one-hour lessons at $480, paid upfront, offered with a $30 discount.
