I am a very student-cente red teacher. I frequently ask the student what he/she wants to work on most, and I tailor lessons accordingly. I believe that communication activities are best because the students are using language for a real purpose. I also prefer to use real materials that students will see and use everyday.

Hi! I am a language teaching professional (with a Master's Degree) who has been teaching ESL for 5 years. I have taught English in Japan, New York, and near Philadelphia. I teach grammar, conversation, listening/spe aking strategies, vocabulary, reading and writing. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Currently I am teaching English as a Second Language at Harcum College. I have also taught college-level ESL at the University of Pennsylvania, EF Internatinal Language School in Tarrytown, NY, Drexel Univerisity in Philadelphia, and Shibaura Institute of Technology in Japan.

In 2001, I recieved a M.A. in TESOL from West Chester Univeristy, West Chester, PA.
I also have a B.A. in English from Ursinus College (1998), Collegeville, PA.
I am a member of PennTESOLEast , an organization for English teachers in southeastern Pennsylvania.
I have also presented at major professional conferences such as TESOL 2002, and PennTesol Fall 2000.

What is your teaching schedule?
I am available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-8:30 PM.
Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 PM.
Friday afternoons from 1:00-4:00PM.
What is your payment policy?
I would prefer to be paid by cash or check at the end of each teaching session.
Where will we have lessons?
T his is negotiable. I would like to meet at a location between both of us, such as a local library. I will do home visits if the location is reasonable (within 20 miles of my home).
