♝ Instructional Methods
● The instruction in my teaching Chinese is mainly based on a ‘hybrid’ approach, which covers both grammatical approach and lexical approach. In my research, this instructional design is found to own the great advantage of improving language use ability in communication .
● At the same time, communicative approach and audio-lingual method will also be taken as a supplement according to the specific needs of different courses.

● My teaching aims to develop your all-round language knowledge and basic four areas of language skills, which are listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as your comprehensive understanding of Chinese culture.
● The teaching emphases are individual according to the insufficiency of each student’s current Chinese language level.
● Various teaching focuses will be addressed according to the types of course.
♞ Teaching Language
● The teaching language in my classes are English and Chinese. The proportion of these two language in class depends on your language level and study pace.
● Generally, with zero level and beginners, I teach mainly in English; with medium and advanced level students, Chinese is the main teaching language.

● We use different textbooks in different language courses. You have no need to worry about which language textbook to take. I will help you to choose the best textbook which most fits your level and your learning need in your study.
☺ You are absolutely free to bring your own preferred textbook; or I can design specific handouts depending on your individual requests.
