Teaching Approach

Above all else I believe that you need to use the language to learn it. Therefore my lessons focus on a lot of role play. I also ensure that I put everything into context so that the student understands why they are learning any particular area of the language. Learning a language needs to be interesting and fun and if the student does not feel that they are making quick progress they tend to give up quickly. I try to ensure that this never happens.

Program Description

I can adapt my lessons to the needs of the learner. People choose to learn a language for many different reasons from furthering a business career to fulfilling a dream to travel and meet people. I do not believe that one type of teaching can be made to fit all learner requirements. Of course there is always a core of basic language and grammer teaching but beyond that I tailor my lessons to the areas defined by the learner. I managed 2 companies in England so can teach at all levels of Business English.

Teaching Experience

I have completed a TOEFL course and currently teach English part time in a local school.

Teacher Training

Prior to becoming an English teacher I worked as a business manager for 4 years and an accountant for 12 years. I have all the necessary qualification s for those posts.

Cost of Lessons

I currently charge R$ 30 per hour for one to one teaching and R$20 per student for larger groups. Discounts may be available depending on the quantity of time booked.
