I like the close personal one-to-one relationship a student and a teacher develop in tutorials. I believe tutoring is the best way for a student to learn and for a teacher to spot the weaknesses in a student's knowledge and then work on them.
My area of expertise is TOEFL as I speak North American English, but I also love teaching grammar and conversation.

I completed a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language at The University of British Columbia. After finishing my Master's, I started working at an international college in Vancouver, teaching TOEFL, grammar, conversation and presentation skills. I worked at King George International College(KGIC) for three years and I have excellent references from there. I later decided to switch to the public school system and worked for two years as an ESL teacher with the Vancouver School Board, Canada, BC. In 2007, my husband and I were transferred to Ankara, Turkey by his company. Over there, I started tutoring general English, TOEFL, English grammar and conversationa l English. I encountered many interesting students over the four years we lived in Turkey. After a few months being back to Canada, we were transferred again, this time to Ireland, where I tutored foreign students as well. Now, we are back to Canada. I would love to start tutoring again and helping pople with their English.
