    Teaching Approach

I use the communicative method. The main focus is on using the language. You start speaking Russian from the very first lesson, even if you're a beginner.

Russian grammar will be introduced to you in a clear structured format - you will see that there is an understandabl e logic. You will not be overloaded with grammar tasks and will learn only as much grammar as you need in order to speak and understand Russian.

I f you'd like to use a book during the course, together we can choose a book that will best address your needs.
At the same time, most lessons are held without the use of a book. The book would mainly be used for reference, providing structure, and homework material. In the event you have specific needs, a book could be used during lessons, e.g. preparing for the TORFL (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language).

I like the idea of total immersion because we all really learn by doing, and the more you practice Russian, the more you will learn.

It means that the language of instruction is Russian. Of course, I adapt my language to your level of Russian so that you always understand what is going on.

Except ions can be made if you are learning Russian "from scratch" and when there is a need to explain an important “secret” of the Russian language. :) Those explanations in English do not take much time and are extremely useful.

So me students feel more comfortable when they get a certain level of support during the lesson in a language they know well. This is also ok. I speak English, German, basic Turkish, and Swedish. Nevertheless, it is interesting how quickly these students begin to enjoy speaking Russian and forbid to speak English. :)

    Program Description

Your course will be designed according to your needs. First we discuss your expectations from the course and set goals. According to those goals, we decide on the content, structure, and materials to be used.

For those who are just starting, the course will include lots of practice using the most common and needed vocabulary and language patterns, enabling the student to handle everyday situations in Russian.

I f you haven’t already done so, we will learn the secrets of reading in 1-2 lessons. :) Yes, it's possible! The Cyrillic alphabet is not as difficult as it looks (and as they say).

The general course can be modified if you need special vocabulary (business, tourism, etc.) or if you are a “false beginner” (have studied Russian before and first need revision).
The individual approach is perfectly suited to fit your goals. Whether you want to understand Russian news or literature, brush up on your grammar, gain the ability to discuss more advanced topics, learn about Russian cultural norms, or just to better understand your Russian colleagues, it's all up to you!

We can focus on special tasks such as making presentations in Russian, preparing for a job interview, or preparing to take the TORFL (Test of Russian as Foreign Language).
Authentic and up-to-date learning materials, including games, hand-outs, resources from mass media, videos, and audio recordings are at your disposal during the course.

Payments for Skype lessons are made through Paypal.

Pl ease note that full lesson price will be charged if the lesson is missed.

Wh at other relevant experience makes you a more effective teacher?

I used to work for the Pushkin Institute at the summer courses of Russian, and after that at the Russian Lab training center. This was a great experience: I worked with big groups, mini groups, fixed groups and open groups and gave 1-on-1 lessons. I taught all levels of Russian, including groups of different level students.
Am ong my students there were people from all over the world and of different backgrounds and occupations: businessmen, embassy employees, students, journalists, housewives and just curious people who came to Moscow to discover Russia.

My linguistic competence gives me a profound understanding of the language, that's why I can explain some features of Russian in an easy way, if needed - through similar concepts in other languages.
I enjoy learning languages as much as teaching. That's why I understand what my students feel when they learn Russian and I know how to deal with the difficulties they face. I speak English, German, some Turkish and basic Swedish.
