I am a native Mandarin speaker, an experienced language teacher and I'm qualified in Linguistics. I believe in an active, dynamic approach between teacher and students, where students are encouraged to speak, comment and participate as much as possible. To accomplish this, I frequently use real-life situations, movies, music, photos, and games in my lessons. Students participate in conversations and role plays.
I also believe learning a language is also learning the culture behind it, so the combination of the language skills and the cultural understanding is also part of the main content of my Chinese classes.
I think the best teachers make class interesting and enjoyable for students. I have every confidence that we can share the fun in learning Chinese.

I offer tailored Chinese courses to individuals,g roups and corporates. My courses include General Chinese, Business Chinese, HSK Exam Preparation courses and Intensive Chinese Language courses. All courses are designed to provide students with the necessary language and culture skills to succeed in both personal and professional Chinese language environments. Each course is comprehensive , meaning that students will learn to read, write, speak, and listen to Chinese, while also gaining cultural understanding .

Teaching Experience

I have been teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language since 2005. I also taught English language in schools in China. My current students range from ages 10 to 83 and have a variety of language needs, from travel purposes to studying for examinations.

I currently teach at my home in Skelmersdale during the week and I am available for teaching in Manchester on Sundays.
I also use Skype for online courses.
