I work in Burmese human rights as my career I feel it would be invaluable to know the language - or at least one of the languages spoken in the country. Bar a few words I cannot speak any Burmese and am therefore very much a beginner. I would dedicate as much time as necessary to the study of Burmese. The teacher should be patient as languages do not come naturally to me.

I need basic conversationa l Burmese because I travel there yearly. Preferably in person and I can drive to anyone who can offer lessons. I speak no Burmese. I can spend two hours/week in lessons and will study outside of the lessons but can get together for 3-4 hours at a time rather that weekly if necessary.
