I am looking for an Urdu-language home tutor, preferably female, for my children aged 4 and 6, whose native language is English and Chinese. I want them to have a good introduction to the Urdu language, and build a good working knowledge (conversation al level, at least) of the language, but not for examinable purposes. The goal is to make Urdu learning fun and enjoyable for the children, so they will develop another language skill.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am of Pakistani origin, learnt some punjabi at home but have forgotten a great deal. Would like to improve to the level that I can hold a solid conversation in punjabi or urdu. I am not sure what would be best to learn - punjabi or urdu - we have a mix with the family at home in the UK. In addition, with my job I will be spending time in India for business - ideally, I would like to speak to them in another language than just English all the time. Reading the above, what would you recommend?

I am interested in learning Urdu. I am a Pakistani, who speaks more Punjabi at home. Our first language is English, and i am keen on picking up the language (Urdu). I am not at all fluent in it, however, i am able to understand a little bit of the language.
The area that i need most help in is grammar. I can spend a couple of hours per week.
I would like to know how fast i will be able to pick up the language, since it it best for it to be as soon as possible.
