I am a beginner, and just want to learn. I know the odd basic word like colours, body parts, numbers up to 20, but cant string a sentance together.
I am learning it for self development. I have always wanted to learn another language, and can pick them up quite quickly. I have many asain friends and would enjoy being able to have conversations with them.
I need improvement in all aspects - conversation is my first step, but i would like to be fluent and be able to learn grammer aswell.
I would like to dedicate about 3 hours a week - if its lessons. but homework i am happy to spend an hour a day.
I am looking for qualities to teach. I dont want to go through a text book, the moe interacive learning the better, am willing to try all ways of learning.

I am British and I would like to learn to speak Urdu because it is a language known by many people of my culture and Religion. I am a Muslim wiht an Indian origin. I would place myself as a beginner but I may be an intermediate. I can understand kachee, which is similar to Gujerati but I cannot speak Kachee fluently and I cannot understand Urdu. I am not interested in learning to write or read in Urdu, I would like to learn to speak the language. I am able to dedicate one evening a week of approximately 2 hours per lesson. I am looking for a teacher who would be committed to teaching me to my full potential.

I would like to take Urdu lessons as my husband and my family in law are Pakistani.
I'm a beginner.
I would like to be able to have a 'day-to-day' conversation in Urdu as well as be able to read the Urdu language. I started learning on my own (with CDs and books, but this didn't seem to work efficiently). Therefore, I'm looking for private lessons (or classes with a small group of people), once a week preferably, from a native Urdu speaker.
