I am learning Hindi as various members of my family don't speak English and in order to communicate with them I have to learn Hindi. Although I am born in Britain, I have an Indian heritage and am familiar with the basics of the Punjabi Language. I am a big fan of Hindi movies and music and so I'm familiar with a few basic terms but other than that I am a complete beginner. I would like the focus of my lessons to be on speaking Hindi as supposed to writing and reading it.
I would like to take lessons approximately twice a week and am very flexible with my days and timings as I've just finished my a levels and I'm on summer vacation.
I would prefer my tutor to be female and I am happy to travel to my tutors home as long as it isn't too far from my home (no more than 10 miles approx).

I need to learn hindi for a film project. I have 50 days to work with and can dedicate a full day to lessons. I need to learn to speak in conversations and pronunciation and understand the grammer. I am wanting to learn Hindi as I am hoping to relocate to Goa. Although I have the very basics of Konkani I feel it would be far more beneficial to learn Hindi, to which I am a complete beginner. As I am wanted to learn for day to day reasons I would feel conversationa l Hindi would be a good place to start, with eventually an understand in the alphabet. I am only in the UK from March until end of May, so I feel an hour lesson 2 or 3 times a week would be best to start.
I am living nr Enfield in London and would prefer if my teacher was in a neighbouring town, home tutoring would be great, but I am willing to travel a short distance to class. I also feel small group or individual sessions would be what I would prefer.
