I am a beginner, I understand french but I only need the basics (conversation ); I want to learn french because I am leaving to Paris;

I have recently arrived in Beirut, due to my husband's job, & wish to learn french in order to be able converse proficiently in day to day life. I am a beginner with a very basic knowledge & need the confidence to be able to move forward with the language.
At present, I am not working & would like to be able to spend at least two mornings a week ( or afternoons) conversing with someone, preferably female.
I need someone with patience & a sense of humour.
