My Mother was Dutch and I,apparantly, was bilingual when very young. Although I am unable to hold a converstion in Dutch, Iam sure I would pick it up Fairly easily - I hope! I would dearly love to converse with my Dutch relatives. My 19yr old son has expressed an interest in learning Dutch and living in the Netherlands in the future and so Iam looking for someone to possibly teach us both . Therefore, I would class us both as beginners at present with a view to becoming more profficient.
Conversationa l Dutch is enough for me at present- I may wish to progress later on.
An hour a week would be enough.
