I was an intermediate to advanced (somewhere in between) in both Mandarin and Cantonese in September 1995 but discontinued study to relocate for school in California. I have been studying Mandarin on and off since 2006 in Seattle and my teacher will be relocating to Texas this summer. I am seeking a new forum to study Mandarin and ideally Cantonese as well.

I was born speaking both Cantonese and English. I'm very out of practice - I can understand still but have difficulty speaking Cantonese. I would like to be able to talk to my family in Cantonese again and for a trip to Hong Kong in 2009. I just want to learn conversationa l Cantonese and be able to talk about what I do for work and life. My husband would like to learn as well and he has no background in speaking Cantonese. I would like to dedicate 1-2 hrs a week.
