Hello, My name is Linda Christie, I am a 4th year medical student at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. I have been given a fabulous oppertunity to travel to Hong Kong next January (2006) for 6 weeks to do my elective in the Princess Margaret Hospital. I am very keen to learn some Cantonese before i go, i would initially like one lesson a week (with some practice work) and then move up to 2 or 3 lessons a week for a couple of months before I leave. I am a complete beginner but very dedicated to learning as much as I can in the year I have.

I am a beginner and have never had lessons before. I would like to learn because I am a Hong Kong resident and wish to work in Hong Kong when I finish my education. Therefore I feel that speaking Cantonese will benefit me hugely. Ideally, at least three hours a week would be helpful. I'm looking for a native Chinese teacher who is enthusiastic and fun.
