I want to learn Norwegian (specifically Bokmål as I have read that it is more commonly used than Norsk) so that I can study in Norway. The course which i am interested in requires proficiency in Norwegian. As such, I will need to pass a language test before I am eligible to enter the course.
My proficiency level is at the very basic level. I have a general understanding about the basic grammar system (although I am still quite confused sometimes) and I know a few words and their respective forms. Most of what I have learned is through the Duolingo App.
I need to improve in all aspects of the Norwegian Language as I feel like the Duolingo App isn’t helping me much. i need to reach a high level of proficiency so that I can pass a language test, which would have both a written and a verbal component. I need to achieve this as fast as possible, as the language test is around a year from now. (I have a year to become proficient in Norwegian)
I am looking to dedicate 1-2 Days per week (no longer than 3 hours per session) for the language lessons.
I need the tutor to be kind, patient and most importantly, have the ability to help me understand and learn the language as effectively as possible.

I am a Malayali by birth who never learned Malayalam, much to my regret, so would like to at least be able to converse at a basic level. I know words and can understand bits and pieces, but cannot string sentences together. I would like to take lessons once or twice a week for an hour, but it has to be near my office (Dhobi Ghaut) because of my busy work schedule.
