Hello, I am a 29 year old New Zealander who learned French at school for 6 years but have not used it for a long time. I have lived in the UK for three years and have lived since July 2004 in France. I would consider myself to be intermediate level and really would like to improve my grammar and conversationa l skills, so that I can talk to a wide variety of people about a wide range of subjects. I am going to be living in Malemort-du-C omtat (20 minutes from Carpentras)fr om July-December 2005 and would really love to have some tutoring on a regular basis (weekly), preferably a private lesson.I tend to be a visual learner and find it difficult to pick up the language if i am just hearing it auditorally- I need to see it in its written form as well.

I am a beginner in Nepali, though have studied a variety of other languages including Japanese and French (in which I am fluent). I am planning on conducting research in the Kathmandu Valley in 2006 and would like to take some introductory courses now in order to prepare myself for the future! I can commit to two lessons a week in person, and three through video conferencing, text chat, voice chat, etc. I am looking for a teacher that has experience teaching Nepali, who speaks English and/or French (in order to clarify vocab, with varied and well-organize d pedagogical skills, and who possibly has an interest in the arts. I need improvement in all areas, as have never spoken a word of Nepali in my life.
