I am from San Francisco, USA and I work as a union organizer. We have many Chinese immigrants from the Guangdong region whose mother tongue is Cantonese. I have been studying Cantonese for a year and I have been living in Hong Kong the last 3 months. I would like to become fluent at speaking Cantonese and I am looking for a good teacher.

M y ideal teacher should be able to speak loudly and clearly and should be very outgoing. I would like someone who is open to holding lessons outside so that she or he can help me learn vocabulary of daily situations. For example - going to a park to talk about what we see. I would like to study every day for at least 1-2 hours, but if you are not available to do this, I can have multiple tutors.

It would be a very big plus if you know how to properly use the Yale Romanization system and you are skilled at translating spoken Cantonese into this system. Very few Cantonese speakers are able to do this, so it is not required.
