Mi chiamo Dennis e abito a Wellington in New Zealand. Ha 30 anni e ho studiato italiano per sei mese. Studio solo e non attendo nessuno classe, ma cinque anni fa ho studiato in una classe italiano a 'beginner's level.' Ora, studio con libri, audio CD e otlre cose posso trovare 'online'. Ma non parlo italiano bene e bisongno questo aspetto della mio imparato. Il mio italiano scritto non bene anche, come puo vedere! Scritto questo messagio senza un dictionario o 'learning aid'. Cosi puo vedere come 'proficient' sono ora. Ma non so bene parlare e difficile per me capire quando si parle velocemente in italiano.
Vorrei studiare italiano perche ho studiato architettura e storia dell'arte in universita e Italy e forse di piu belle paese per archittettura e arte. Il mio scrittore di architettura che mi piace di piu e Manfredo Tafuri, specialmente il suo libro 'Architecture and Utopia' (penso che e 'Progetto e Utopie' nel italiano originale).
Il mio hobby preferito, non inclusa studiare italiano, e 'spending time' con la mia famiglia. La mia moglie e me abbiamo un bambino si chiama 'Oscar' e ha dieci mese. Lui e molto caro e il suo primo Christmas era molto speciale. Mi piace anche dipingere pittura con oil paints, ma non ho molto tempo questi giorni con Oscar qui.
Provo leggere in italiano, specialmente con riviste archittettura in italiano (Architectura l Digest magazines). Lavoro nel government come un policy analyst, e intendo studiare economia a universita 'part time' in 2008.
I want to take one to three lessons per week, mostly to improve my listening / comprehension and speaking / pronunciation . I have been studying around ten to twelve hours per week by myself and I would continue to do this outside lesson time. I am looking for a tutor who is patient, who encourages me to listen to spoken Italian and to speak Italian myself, and who gives me advice about how to study in my own time.
I am willing to pay around 12-15 euros per hour but it depends on the credentials and approach of the teacher. I couldn't go much above this price.
New Zealand is currently twelve hours behind Italy and I would like to take lessons through Skype in the evenings (ideally sometime between 8pm and 9pm when my son has gone to bed, which would be between 8am and 9am Italian time). Any evening would suit. But I could also do the lessons anytime during the weekend. Would you be interested in providing me with Italian lessons? Perhaps we could start with one to see how good my spoken Italian is, and then you could suggest a study plan after that. But I am happy to take your advice.
I don't think there are any tutors in Upper Hutt where I live, so my next preference to real life tutorials is Skype video conferencing or voice chat. I have an Apple iMac computer so it is not possible to video conferencing with MSN. However I have Skype video conferencing / voice chat and a fairly fast broadband connection.
