In my experience, the best way to remain passionate about a language and therefore effective in learning, is to have access to a rich diversity of documents, from cinema to textbooks as well as fairy tales. It is in that aim that I intend to introduce you to some French novels, movies, music and (as it's my major), comics. As my job is to draw in a way to tell stories, I can take advantage of both drawing and storytelling skills to make remembering easier.
Acce ss interesting documents is nothing more than a good medium for learning, then what I can do as a teacher is :
- to accompany you step by step to allow you its appropriation (help you understand, shed light on the context, the kind of language used and tell you in which situation you should re-use it.)
- to chat with you about it in a way to improve your conversation skills as well as starting to appropriate new vocabulary.
- to explain you some specific grammar rules encountered in the document.

I always try to find a way that the student doesn't get bored or finish the class without understanding the mean of the lesson. Because for me understanding is more important than just doing the lesson.
I always have some video, music and or articles because for me it is really importante to learn with various media and also to have some fun by learn.
I also make my student thinking about the cultural differenciens and way of life because it is always interesting to compare our way to cook, what is our hobbies, etc...

Bonjour,
Je ne suis pas un enseignant ou professeur de formation, toutefois si l on a la patience et la richesse de langue nécessaire au niveau requis pour ou par l élève, il est simple de lui faire attribuer les moyens qu il faut.
Dans un premier temps, il est nécessaire d avoir le livre du professeur ainsi que celui de l étudiant. Cela j en parle par expérience, pour mes cours d anglais au petit de ma famille d accueil, il etait difficile de tenir plus de 3 semaines sans (8 h de cours par semaine), toutefois il est clair que d autres explications doivent venir en parrallele, et que nous pouvons commencer les cours sans.
Je fais aussi lire des histoires a l enfant le soir pour lui en demander le resume le lendemain, ou bien nous les lisons ensemble pour expliquer et enrichir le vocabulaire. Tout dépend de l age et du niveau de l élève, des bouquins peuvent remplacer les histoires, des comptines de temps a autre pour les tout petits etc..
