The best tip is to speak as much English as possible. No native English speaker cares if you make a mistake as long as that person can understand your sentence.

Hey Ruby, I am not native English speaker, though I do speak it, maybe we can do an exchange, since I intend to learn Chinese and Cantonese now. I just know random words in Chinese and none (yet) in cantonese, but I hope this will change soon, since I moved to Macau.
Let me know if you wanna practice english, with a non-native speaker.
