Re:marriage
Hello I live in iran and i want to explain about marriage process in iran: in iran marriage cultures has been changed alot, for about 20 years ago parents chose a girl for the boy and after they went for the proposal , if the girl and boy had common sense they married , the marriage here had 6 steps: first Hanabandoon, in Hanabandoon boys and girls close family gathered and put Henna on their palms, after that they become fiance, the boy bought a ring and gave it to the girl , after months they become engaged in the engagement there is a Mullah who read quran and make girl and boy confident, after engagement there was a marriage ceremony which all friends, families gather and they have a sort of big party, and after the ceremony the couple went to the honeymoon. But nowadays the rules change, the boy find the girl himself and they become boyfriend and girlfriend for a while and after that they married. i think the second one is so much better, i will be happy if you give me your opinion.

Re:Re:marriage
Hi Sara,
I'm Kardelen from Turkey. I think our traditions are almost the same and also they evolved in the same way. I agree with your thought which supports every adult can find his or her spouse by himself or herself. But here is a thing to think, in my opinion when families are involved in relationships, it helps to make relationships bacome much more reliable and it makes them last longer.
Sincerely.
