I am a native of Germany. I live in North Dakota, USA, where I work as a professor of German language and literature. I have a passionate interest in Brazil, even though I have not been there yet. I studied a little bit of Portuguese but need to start from scratch. I love poetry, movies, art, and am also very interested in global social issues. Every summer and also some winters I spend a month or two in Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Munich), and Switzerland (Basel, Zurich).
