Re:Re:wowowo... what's going on here? Are you still around, MtG?
personally i suggest that there be different places on the bulletin board for each language. it takes forever to find what you are looking for when there are thousands of posts. and it is likely not many people find what they are looking for very easily. not everyone has enough time and patience on their hands to look through and read thousands of posts. if you are suggesting changes to someone in charge, this is my suggestion.

THIS I DON'T UNDERSTAND....
This is what I don't understand. Since I am not a "Gold Memember," I don't have the right to make contact with people. I have to wait for one of the GOLD MEMEMBERS to make contact? And for now, I can only pose on the bulltin? I am correct so far? Is this how this page works? If it is, that is so bull!

Re:Re:Re:About text chatting
Sutiph, ÄãºÃ¡£
I was delighted by your kind and encouraging words. I am enchanted by your culture, by your language, by your country¡¯s movies, and by the spiritual paths that have been developed in China. As it happens I have a friend in An-Hui province who has been helping me to study the Tao Te Ching, which is even more profound and beautiful and Chinese than in English.
I¡¯m afraid I don¡¯t understand what you mean by, ¡°To be a native speaker I dare not to speak it flawlessly.¡± Could you try saying that a different way, or perhaps in Chinese? I¡¯d love to understand your comment.

Re:About text chatting
That's a shame that you're having problems using the text chatting service here. Have you used the "Contact Us" feature to notify Danny Yuen about the problem? He may have a very simple thing you can do to fix it. It doesn't hurt to ask.

About text chatting
*Im glad and surprised by this web page, admiring and appreciating. I felt pleasant when chatting with kind people all over around. But I am used to face a problem when using the text chatting system because it is fine enough to exchange bits of imformation while it doesnt works well sometimes. I was not gold; therefore when called up by another member I was extremely excited. Regret to say, the stability goes wrong occasionally, interrupting the fine chat. For sake of language-difference it's hard to retrieve the coming friendship, leading to worries about hurting others. I dont wanna make mistake like that and hope it could be improved, then which makes all perfect. Only out of my opinions without offending. *Anyway, thanks for kindness. This page is nearly flawless and worth the prize.

Re:wowowo... what's going on here? Are you still around, MtG?
Hi Mind the Gap,
I agree with you completely. Too many people seem to be pretty well ignoring the board topic area headings, and it makes it really hard to find what we're looking for when we want to find it.
Any ideas what we can do? Keep your eyes peeled for new messages in the Internet Technology board. I'm going to see if I can stir up some problem-solving there.

Re:Immigration
Immigration:
In the U.S., we want immigrants to come do all of the work we don’t like. We want them to do it very cheaply, and then we want them to go away and not claim any of the benefits of being part of our society.
This results in farm workers who harvest tomatoes and lettuce for Taco Bell, for example, at a penny a bushel. Of course, minimum wages is $5, but the workers are here illegally, As Truman Capote noticed, "The problem with living outside the law is that you no longer have its protection"
So living in utter squalor, for 2 cents a bushel – a drop in the bucket,– workers could eat healthy and harvest more vegetables. But Taco Bell, a billion-dollar corporation with huge profits, won’t pay two cents, and their workers suffer because even their standard of living here is better than starving back home where there is no work.
As long as these are immigrants’ only options, anything we do to try to stop illegal immigration is spit in the wind. There is nothing we will ever do to an illegal immigrant that is worse than starving– even if we shoot them at the border. Laws and enforcement are like treating cancer with aspirin.
We have to address the problem. We have help other countries to solve their economic problems. Economic pressure drives workers to more prosperous countries. They’re coming here to escape starvation at home.
But we are also part of the problem. Our profit-greedy corporations force workers to compete for the lowest standard of living, and as consumers, we support those companies that keep their costs low and gives us better prices. Taco Bell is a very popular fast-food restaurant here (and I really miss their food). But we need to make principled choices as consumers. We can’t control the decisions companys make, but we can use our consumer dollars to support companies that pay their workers healthy wages, even if that means that our own food will be a little more expensive. I’d much rather pay a few cents more for my Taco Bell taco than to have to continue boycotting their food.
je sui desolée que je ne parle pas francais, mais, c’est mon opinion sur l’immigracion—since you asked.

wowowo... what's going on here?
I'm a bit confused. The Messageboard seems to be screwed up. Doesn't matter what category I chose, every post is about "I speak this, I learn this and I want to make some new friends" oO
Isn't this board moderated? Would be very helpful, if the "hobby" category would contain some posts like "my hobbys are jumping, running, dancing", so members with the same interests could get in contact.
just a suggestion...
