Re:What book are you reading now?
I am fond of philosophy, novels, sciences. Two books did leave a mark on my life:
Candide or the optimist, it is a picaresque novel by one of the most influential french philosopher Voltaire.
The second one is the flowers of Evil (les fleurs du mal) by Charles Beaudelaire. Beaudelaire was one of the most influential french poets. He depicts the banality of society throughout his work in an honest and poetic, which makes it well worth reading. Best regards

I give you a piece of advice: les lettres de mon moulin writting by Alphonse Daudet. A nice book about the provence in the 19 century which describe the french people and the landscape of the south of france. This book is easy to read.

Sartre and Camus
Don't worry about the dates. I am around! My favourite by Sartre was The Age of Reason which I read both in English and French. A great introduction to existentialist dilemmas concerning value and a very good 'thriller'. Camus's The Stranger I also read in both languages -- such indifference!
