I have the same problem.
The good news is, when viewing the email via the on-site inbox, the foreign characters remain in place, so your pen pal should be able to comprehend it.
I still don't have a solution, but if you are using FireFox for a browser, maybe try going to View -> Character Encoding - > Auto detect - and then choose your language.

problems translating emails into Czech, please help
Hi, i have started talking with a pen pal from CZ, i wrote an email to them. I then translated it into Czech with the translator on this site, copied and pasted it on the bottom of the English one i wrote, but when i sent it, the translated version was a total mess with letters being replaced with numbers and all sorts of other symbols. can anyone please help me sort this so that the translated versions still make sense, many thanks

Hey, dude, i have: Cain, WinPcap, Cygwin, JAP, Paros, DWCS3..., but depending on your need, u need first a good antivirus like Avast, an office suite such as Microsoft office or OpenOffice.org, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, Wampserver (for a PHP MySQL local server)....

Sound like to already figure out how to use the Cyrillic keyboard but do not know what keys produce the desired letter.
I am trying to learn Russian myself and found a great little typing tutor website called keybr. You do not have to down anything it is a web application and supports multiple languages. It has an area to type and a full keyboard layout below the typing area. I now know where most of the keys are and can touch type but sometimes I refer back now if I only understood some Russian words. :)
You can also purchase a usb keyboard with the lettering or get the little stickers that mark the letters.
