500g wholemeal flour

1 and a half tsp salt

1 and a half tsp bicarbonate of soda

500ml buttermilk

Mix together ingredients into dough, then flatten to about 2 inches and score.

Re:Cuisine française or british recipes
Salut!

A bientôt!

Si une recette française vous intéresse, ne pas hésiter à demander...

Hawaiian sweets
Hi!! I recommend one of the most popular Hawaiian sweets ¡ÈMalasadas¡É.

Ingredients (makes 5 dozen):

1 pkg. active dry yeast, 1 tsp. sugar, 1/4 cup warm water, 6 cups flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 t. salt, 1/4 cup melted butter, 6 eggs, 1 cup evaporated milk (can cream), 1 cup water, vegetable oil for deep frying, sugar & cinnamon (optional)

Procedure:

1. Mix dry yeast with 1 tsp sugar and add to 1/4 cup warm water, and let stand for 5 minutes.
2. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir in 1/4 cup melted butter.
3. Beat 6 eggs, milk and water together, and add to 6 cups flour mixture. Add yeast, and mix it well.
4. Dough will be sticky, cover and let dough rise under 40 degrees Celsius until it becomes doubled (around 40 min.), then punch down. After that, let dough rise a second time for around twenty min.
5. Heat vegetable oil up to 375 degrees in deep fryer. Pinch off pieces of dough of about golf ball size.
6. Drop in heated oil and cook until it turns golden brown color on one side.
7. Turn over and fry until the other side turns a golden color. (Watch carefully! Do not overcook or burn!)
8. Put on paper towels and drain fried dough on paper towels.
9. Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

* I also recommend add some chocolate, cocoa powder, or coconut instead to make it more flavorful!!

If you have chance, please make it!! :)

Re:hawaiian chicken
Hello, this is not hawaiian chicken, but it is one of the most popular Hawaiian foods "Loco Moco".

Materials (1 serving):

1/4 pound ground beef, cooked rice, 1 egg, hot prepared gravy, salt, and pepper. (hot pepper sauce, tomato ketchup, soy sauce are additional.)

Procedure:

1. Form the 1/4 pound ground beef with salt and pepper (these quantities are your preference) into a patty.

2. Broil patty in an over medium-high heated flying pan until cooked to your favoriate (I recommend not so tough), then remove from flying pan and set aside of a plate.

3. Fry egg (sunny-side up or over easy, it is your preference) in the grease from the ground beef.

4. Serving the dish by putting a bed of cooked rice, top with hamburger patty, fried egg, and 1 to 2 ladles of hot gravy which is your favorite quantity.

5. Add hot pepper sauce, ketchup, or soy sauce if you want.

If you have chance, please try to make it!! :)

Re:Re:Re:How do you make Onigiri?
Hi,Huong Dang,
I'm not good at cooking Okonomiyaki.
Actually, I preffer to go Okonomiyaki restaurant rather than cook it.
But I know basic recipi
*ingredient
1)Okonomiyaki powder(if you cant find it, you can make base paste . Mix flour 60g,water 60cc, and a pinch of salt.)
2)cabbage 150g (shred)
3)egg 1
4)something you want to mix(cut it small pieces and mix)
for example, meat, spuid , shrimp, shellfish, leak, corn, potato, and so on. in japan, sliced pork is very popular.
I like to mix pieces of cheese or rice cake.
5) topping (we useally put worceter sause, mayonnaise, green laver, and a piece of dried bonito)

You can choose anything you like because the name of [okonomi] means [like].

*How to cook
1) Mix 1)-4)ingrediants.
2) heat up oil on hot plate.
3) Cook the mixed ingrediants on heated hot plate for 1-2 minutes.
4) When the underside is set, turn over and cook the other side.
5) Transfer the Okonomiyaki to a plate and add topping.

There are largr number of variety.
I like Korean dish named chijimi(?). It's similar to Okonomiyaki and deliciaus. It's served with Chili sauce. But I dont know how to cook it.
I like fresh spring roll. Do you cook it?
