Japanese/English exchange

I'm looking for someone to help me with Japanese because I love the outdoors, and I like the range that Japan has. I'm from Florida and it's very flat and boring :)
Eventually I want to go hiking and camping in Japan, and if I like it enough, stay there for a while. SO, I'd like to be able to communicate well and not come off as such a tourist.
I'm quite patient, so if you aren't particularly good at English I don't mind, so long as you're patient with my terrible Japanese.
I figured it would be easy to converse, and get a foothold, if we have similar hobbies. So, if you are a musician, outdoorsy person, or a computer scientist then we'll have plenty in common.

商売柄日本語で疎通しなければならない場合が大半であり
私も日本語がより上手になることを望むが、簡単ではないですね。
それから、日本の友達が欲しいという願いもあります。
しかし多くの人と短く話すことは望んでいません。
