Re:I wish to learn spanish
Bonjour Charles. I've read a message in this board that has make me reconsider my travel plans for the next months. It was someone who offered accommodation for anyone teaching him at his house. I'm Alfredo, a Spanish 30 y.o. philosopher who wants to improve his English skills to a high level, and would love to learn French if I can do this way (accommodation for teaching) It may be not the usual way, but if you are interested, please write me a message (I'm not a gold member) and we would talk about it. Salut.

Re:look for a volunteer job to improve English
Hello Gosia. I was about to write almost the same message as you, suppose we're not the only ones... I would like to know if you've found something or someone helpful. Kind regards. Alfredo, from Spain.

Teaching English in Russia
Hello, My name is Marc and I am a native speaker of English. I have nearly completed a TESOL (i.e., Teaching English as a second language.) master's degree at West Virginia University in the USA. I desire to teach and do research studies in Russian toward a PhD. I speak intermediate Russian and would like to spend the summer of 2004 there teaching English as a start. I will return to the States in August 2004 to finish the master’s program. I will have more time to travel and teach after December 2004. So, I am looking to establish a long-term professional relationship with an established school or company if possible. I have experience with teaching small groups of learners using current teaching methodologies. I am a fan of VanPatten and others who motivate a communicative classroom. Lastly, I have a lot of experience in smart classrooms (computer-based learning programs), as I also program websites and certain types of software. I am interested in teaching K1-12 (e.g., Children up through young adults.) and older adults in either a private, professional or academic setting. I teach core and ESP (i.e., English Special Purposes).
Thank you, Marc

Re:English Teachers Urgently Needed in Harbin
HELLOOOO Harbin!
I am indeed a youthful, Canadian, white, male lawyer, trained and EXTENSIVELY experienced in my native English, and both Canadian and American legalese.Slang is in there somewhere, as well, of course. I have practised law, and made over 3000 Courtroom Applications, and run my own lawfirm and businesses, in the USA and dear Canada. I am now having a "little fun" teaching, mostly English, at a GREAT Vocational College in Jinan. Jinan itself is absolutely fascinating to me. However, having been here for less than a month, I must learn Mandarin soon. I keep getting slightly lost and turned around, and playing word charades to get back to my Campus Residence. In ANY event...I see that you have suggested a large salary in Harbin. Harbin also sounds interesting. What would you consider large in 2004?
Kind regards, Warren J. Yake (-:
